A batch of Indian athletes received a warm send-off at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi ahead of their journey to Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, for the Asian Games 2026.
Officials at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) hostel felicitated the athletes at JLN Stadium before they left for the airport.
The moment marked an emotional farewell as the athletes prepared to begin their journey to Japan.
74 Indian Athletes Set to Compete
A total of 74 Indian athletes — 33 men and 41 women — are set to represent India in athletics at the Asian Games 2026.
The athletes will now shift their focus from preparation to competition after months of training.

The list includes Neeraj Chopra, Avinash Sable, Parul Chaudhary, Tajinderpal Singh Toor, Jyothi Yarraji and Murali Sreeshankar, among others.
