Accuracy matters to us and to the athletes we cover. When we make a mistake, we correct it quickly and openly.
How to report an error
If you spot a mistake in an article, a result, a record or an athlete or coach profile, please tell us:
- email contact@athleticsindia.com with “Correction” in the subject line, or
- use our contact form and choose “Report an error or correction”.
Please include the link to the page, what is wrong, and a source for the correct information if you have one, such as an official result sheet.
What happens next
- We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours.
- Our editors check the information against official and reliable sources.
- If we confirm an error, we correct the page as soon as possible.
How corrections are shown
- Significant errors, for example a wrong result, record, quote or factual claim, are corrected and a note is added at the end of the article explaining what changed and when.
- Minor errors such as spelling, typing or formatting mistakes that do not change the meaning are corrected without a note.
- Updates, for example when official results are confirmed or a story develops, are marked as an update with the date.
Profiles and records
Athlete and coach profiles are updated regularly. Athletes, coaches and their representatives are welcome to send us corrections or new information, together with supporting sources where possible.
Removing content
We do not usually remove published articles, because the record of what was reported matters. We will consider requests to remove or anonymise content in exceptional cases, for example where there is a legal reason or a risk to someone’s safety, especially for minors.
