Sarvesh Kushare was born in Maharashtra on June 17, 1995, and specialises in the high jump. He became India’s national record holder with a 2.31m clearance at the 2026 Indian Championships in Bhubaneswar. Kushare has represented India at major international events, including the World Championships.
Breakthrough and records
His breakthrough came at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships in Chennai in 2022, where he cleared 2.24m in the high jump. He later set his personal best of 2.27m in Gujarat in October 2022, establishing himself among India’s leading high jumpers.

He opened the 2026 season with 2.16m at the Indian Open Jumps Competition in Bengaluru, winning the men’s high jump. He later cleared a national-record 2.31m at the National Inter-State Championships in Bhubaneswar and won silver at the 2026 Commonwealth Games with 2.25m.
